Feature Requests

A feature that allows employers to see when a caregiver was last active or logged in to CareSwitch would be very helpful. This would allow employers to verify caregiver activity on the platform and determine when a caregiver was last online. Having access to this information would improve communication, accountability, and overall workforce management.

It would be a great idea to add a feature that allows users to select specific clients whose shifts they want to move from Tentative to Scheduled. Additionally, having a “Schedule All” button to move all clients’ shifts from Tentative to Scheduled at once would make the process much more efficient. Currently, selecting each client individually to change their status from Tentative to Scheduled has been very time-consuming. Implementing this feature would save time, streamline the scheduling process, and improve overall efficiency by eliminating the need to update each client’s shift individually.

we use two computer screens we could really use the ability to put the caregivers on one calendar and the open shifts up on the other screen without having to keep going back and forth to change the filters

We have multiple people working on the schedule it would be nice to see who they posted the shifts to so we could start calling but we have to use looper to see who the shifts were offered to it would be nice if it just showed it was offered to 1.2.3. 4 so someone could start calling or texting those caregivers

Have a way for the system to log caregivers out after say 20 minutes of inactivity? We had a caregiver that borrowed a phone to login at orientation. We were amazed to find out that after days later she was still logged into the app when the person from the office when to use the phone. What if someone were to log in on a library or a public computer I wouldn't want clients information to be available if someone doesn't hit log out. So I was thinking if it had an auto clock out after so long that would be helpful to avoid that.

Have the App inform employee of exact task they forgot to check off and show them the specific task….instead of saying “2 tasks not completed” (this would be similar to how old app use to operate)

sometimes id want to send a blast email, and not just a chat. It would be great to do that within the app

The system was designed where Mileage follows a top-down model: workspace policy → service-level toggle → shift-level entry. Per-client overrides were never built into the client model. If you need mileage for some clients on a service but not others, you'd have to either create a separate service variant without mileage or zero it out on individual shifts. It would be helpful if we can add a mileage override on the client profile that takes precedence over the service-level setting.

It would be helpful to know where the caregiver is the entire shift, not just the clocking in and out stage.
