This release introduces more control over scheduled reports, caregiver pay rates, mileage, and team communication. We’ve also improved billing and payroll workflows and resolved several reliability issues.
What's New
Choose the date range for scheduled reports
Scheduled and pinned Command Center reports can now use a specific data window. Choose from:
- The date range written in the report instructions
- A rolling window, such as the last seven days or a custom number of previous days
- Fixed start and end dates

A live preview shows the exact dates that will be included the next time the report runs. Report tiles are also labeled Scheduled or Snapshot, making each report type easier to identify. You can refresh any report backed by a schedule, including a paused schedule; if the schedule is paused, CareSwitch will let you know.
When you want to adjust a scheduled report’s instructions, you can now create a separate copy. The original report and its schedule remain unchanged, while the new version starts with its own schedule.

Automatically track mileage and travel time
CareSwitch can now automatically capture mileage and travel time, including commute time, instead of requiring manual entry.
You can also set a daily mileage minimum. When a minimum is configured, the first miles traveled that day are applied toward the minimum before mileage pay begins. Payroll expense quantities now support decimal values as well.
Set caregiver pay rates by territory
You can now create named territories based on ZIP codes and assign a separate hourly or live-in pay rate for each territory on a caregiver’s Pay Methods page.

When a client’s address is within a territory, CareSwitch automatically uses the matching territory rate instead of the workspace default. The selected rate is clearly labeled so you can see where it came from. CareSwitch also warns you before assigning a caregiver who does not have a pay rate saved for the client’s territory.

If a client’s address changes, CareSwitch automatically recalculates the territory and asks for confirmation before applying changes that could affect existing scheduled work.
Share more file types and see read receipts in Chat
Web Chat now supports any file type, with up to 10 attachments in a single message. File, video, and audio attachments sent from a mobile device now display correctly on the web.
Messages also include read receipts showing who has seen a message and when. A New messages divider marks where unread messages begin.
Billing and eligibility workflow improvements
- Eligibility check results now appear in the client’s activity feed, creating a history of results instead of showing only the latest status.
- Claim review now alerts you when the payer on a claim does not match the payer from the client’s eligibility check or the payer recorded for the EVV visit.
- ERA reconciliation can now update a denied invoice group to Paid or Partially Paid when a payer re-adjudicates and pays the claim.
Fixes & Reliability
Payroll and overtime
- Consecutive-day overtime now begins on the day after the configured threshold, aligning payroll calculations with the existing scheduling rule.
- Canceled-with-pay hours are no longer included in overtime calculations.
- The consecutive-hours overtime setting has clearer wording and now explains that hours from overnight shifts are included.
Billing and EVV
- Resolved an issue that could silently reset and resubmit an EVV visit after submission, leading to a payer rejection without an automatic retry.
- Fixed an issue that could prevent an ERA summary from completing when the same remittance included both a reversal and a repayment for the same claim.
Scheduling and Navigation
- The Shifts Calendar now remains in Calendar view instead of unexpectedly returning to Table view.
- Fixed an error that could occur when managing certain profile connections.
Performance and Access
- Tables, including Payroll > Runs, now load rows consistently instead of briefly appearing empty.
- New Session in Command Center now appears immediately without waiting for the entire page to finish loading.
- Employee imports no longer grant active portal access to inactive staff members.
- Chat permissions are now applied consistently when users create channels or view channel members.
